The world ranking of the women’s volleyball team has fallen 20 notches to 34th place in a year and a half since December 2021.The national team has won 18 consecutive international competitions since the semifinals of the Tokyo Olympics in August 2021.Women’s volleyball, whose world rankings have fallen significantly, has been grouped with strong teams Italy and the United States in the world preliminary round for the upcoming Paris Olympics in September, putting an emergency light on to advance to the Olympic finals.The 2008 Beijing Olympics was the last time Korean women’s volleyball failed to make it to the Olympic finals.
