The outcome of pitcher Trevor Bauer’s appeal of his MLB suspension may mean that he now faces a comparable career turning point. A neutral arbitrator decided that Bauer’s record 324-game sentence for breaking the Joint Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Policy should be lowered to 194 games, and Bauer was restored on Thursday, December 22.

As he will be instantly eligible to play and keep the most of his $35.3 million pay in 2023, Bauer’s appeal of the suspension was only partially successful. However, the financial and professional consequences continue to be high, and Bauer’s ban is still the longest ever under the terms of the program.

Between his 144-game suspension in 2022 and his 50-game pay suspension in ’23, Bauer forfeited a total of $37.5 million in compensation. For the pitcher, it is a better result than forfeiting two full wage years. Bauer won’t necessarily play just because he will be paid, though.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are severing their relationship with pitcher Trevor Bauer, allowing him to restart his career at the start of the new season.

After a San Diego woman accused Bauer of sexually assaulting her, Bauer stopped playing in June 2021. The pitcher has disputed the sexual assault claims and claimed that his interactions with the lady were consensual. A prosecutor in Los Angeles declined to press charges against him.

According to baseball regulations, the Dodgers had until Friday to reinstate Bauer to the roster, but they didn’t make their choice public until late in the afternoon. Since Bauer was placed on paid administrative leave in July 2021, the group has hardly ever spoken on the contentious subject.

Prior to the 2021 season, Bauer signed a $102 million, three-year contract with his hometown Dodgers. He had a record of 8-5 and a 2.59 ERA in 17 games before being placed on leave.

The MLB Players Association may contest Bauer’s release if it happens since it would violate the Uniform Player’s Contract.

If a player “fails, refuses, or neglects to conform his personal 바카라 conduct to the standards of good citizenship and good sportsmanship or to keep himself in first-class physical condition or to obey the club’s training rules” or “fails, in the opinion of the club’s management, to exhibit sufficient skill or competitive ability to qualify or continue as a member of the club’s team,” the team may be allowed to terminate the player’s contract.

Prosecutors in Los Angeles opted not to arrest Bauer for allegedly assaulting and sexually abusing the San Diego woman in February 2022 because they felt they could not establish her claims beyond a reasonable doubt, according to their decision.

The lady, who was 27 at the time, claimed Bauer choked her until she passed out, repeatedly punched her, and sexually attacked her twice.

The same day, the pitcher posted a YouTube video in which he acknowledged having “hard sex” with the San Diego woman. In the video, Bauer denies abusing her sexually.

A restraining order had been requested by the woman, but the judge rejected it. The judge concluded that Bauer respected the woman’s boundaries when she established them and that because she didn’t make them explicit, he couldn’t have been aware of those he broke.

Bauer was designated for assignment, which indicates that a 토토 player may be moved or released within seven days, according to the official website. Any of the other 29 teams can sign Bauer if he is released.
