Baseball’s Kiwoom Heroes snapped Ko Young-pyo’s streak of consecutive quality starts (six or more innings and three earned runs or less) at 12 games. Kiwoom won its second straight game with a 6-2 home victory over KT Wiz in the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on Monday .Last-place Kiwoom, which won 8-3 in 12 extra innings against third-place SSG Landers the day before, caught second-place KT and emerged as a factor in the race for the final spot in the league .Lee Joo-hyung hit a triple and a double in the first and third innings, respectively, to rattle Go Young-pyo, and Lim Byung-wook hit a three-run homer to put the game out of reach .Lee Ju-hyung also hit a single in the eighth inning, finishing 4-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, missing only a home run for a cycling hit (a single and a home run in the same game).Kiwoom took the lead in the first inning when Kim Tae-jin and Song Sung-moon singled to put runners on the corners and Lee Ju-hyung took advantage of Ko Young-pyo’s changeup for a two-run triple .In the third inning, Song Sung-moon led off with a single to left field, and Lee Joo-hyung again hit a changeup from Ko Young-pyo for a double to right field to put runners on second and third.
