The Korea Masters 2023, which attracted 1,500 athletes from across the country, has come to a successful conclusion.
The Korea Swimming Federation (KF) said that 17 provincial swimming clubs participated in the Korea Masters, held at the Gimcheon Indoor Swimming Pool in Gimcheon, North Gyeongsang Province, on Feb. 2 and 3, in three events, including management, diving and artistic swimming, divided into adult and student divisions.
In the adult division, Gwangju-based GM Swimming Club NBU won the overall title with 661 points, while IYC won the student division with 205 points.
Diving was won by the Incheon Masters Diving Club with 144 points.
A total of 63 new Korean Masters records were set at the event, including 35 in the student division and 28 in the adult division.
“I am grateful for the good results thanks to my teammates who believed in the lack of a coach,” said GM Swimming Club NBU coach Kim Jung-hoon, who won the management adult category, while Lee Jun-ho, who set a new Korean record in the men’s adult 100-meter freestyle with a time of 59.91 seconds, said, “It is every swimmer’s dream to break a Korean record, and I did it. I am grateful for the federation’s support for a strong swimming nation.” 사설토토
